We have now released Stringer Survey v27.02. This release includes an important compatibility update for customers running the latest versions of 2025 or 2026 AutoCAD and Civil 3D.

Why is this update happening?

Autodesk recently updated its 2025 and 2026 product lines to transition to the Microsoft .NET 10 runtime environment. Because this changes underlying system components, it impacts how older Stringer Survey settings files are handled, particularly settings migrated forward from legacy versions of Stringer Survey.

Do I need to update?

If you are running AutoCAD or Civil 3D (versions 2025 or 2026), type ABOUT into your command line to check your current build. If your version matches or is newer than the builds listed below, you must update to Stringer Survey v27.0.2 to maintain compatibility:

  • AutoCAD 2025: Version 2025.1.4 or higher

  • AutoCAD 2026: Version 2026.1.2 or higher

  • Civil 3D 2025: Version 2025.2.7 or higher

  • Civil 3D 2026: Version 2026.2.2 or higher

What do I need to do?

To ensure a smooth transition, please install the updates in this specific order:

  1. Ensure your AutoCAD or Civil 3D has the latest Autodesk updates installed (matching the version numbers above).

    You can access your Autodesk product updates by visiting https://www.autodesk.com/au/account/home-v2 and entering your Autodesk account details.  Then click on Products and Services, then Product Updates to download and install the latest updates for your Autodesk product/s.

  3. Install the Stringer Survey v27.02 update.
